Derek Maseloff

Derek joined Christ the King as Director of Music in 2020 following his exodus from New York City amidst the height of the Covid-19 outbreak. In addition to performing at weekly services on the piano and organ he directs the fantastic Christ the King Choir. Derek holds a Master of Music in French Horn performance and frequently adds brass music to Sunday Worship. He helps organize and often performs on Christ the King's ever-growing concert series, whose proceeds have benefitted Afghan refugees and the Rwanda School Project. Derek enjoys performing a wide variety of music in church, from the 15th century up to the present day. 

 

Originally from Quakertown, PA, he currently resides in Greenbelt, MD, where he sometimes hurries off to after church to catch a 1:00PM Eagles game.
